Warisan Square uses a “street mall” concept where visitors will walk and shop along the open-air area and the indoor air-conditioned shopping podium.

With a total of 141 retail outlets and a combined 102,677 sq ft of retailing space, shoppers will be rewarded with the experience of shopping at the many new fashion-brand outlets, and dinning at the various food chain outlets.

Poppea Garden Cafe

Poppea Garden Cafe is a nice and lively eatery located at the northern corner of City Mall. City Mall is about 10 minutes by car from Kota Kinabalu. This cafe serves mostly Chinese cuisine, and a little bit of western cooking is on the menu. Do note that Poppea Garden Cafe do not serve pork. The walls inside this cafe is quite interesting and is also very pleasing to the eyes, with the use of bright colours and funky design.

A look at the menu shows that Poppea Garden cafe does put some effort into their food presentation. Nice plates, like square ones and strong colours are in use too. Try order the Pineapple Fried Rice (RM 7.90), not only the rice with the crunchy pineapple makes it so tasty, but also the way it is presented is so appealling, with the pineapple shell as its bowl, splendid idea.

Every day around the late afternoon the Waterfront begins to come alive, as workers come to set up their premises and the chefs start to prepare their special Ala carte. By evening the whole place will be bustling with people looking for a great dinning experience from the many restaurants at the Waterfront.

Western, Chinese, and local cuisines are all featured here, and the place is very popular with the tourists as the food quality here is ensured. Other than fine dining the Waterfront is also a great place for socialising and party, there are pubs, cafes, karaokes and The Bed, one of the biggest dance clubs in town.

Come and enjoy the cool sea breeze and witness the beautiful sunset at The Waterfront Kota Kinabalu. And also enjoy the island-view before darkness envelops the earth.
